About Froggy Pond School of Learning

A Message From Our Headmistress – Mrs Enslin

I trained at TTC in Bulawayo many moons ago and have been involved in education my entire life.

My grandfather was a botanist and a headmaster. He discovered Southern Africa’s smallest frog in the Eastern Cape in 1919, hence I decided to name my swim school Froggy Pond.

From small beginnings, in 2005, initially for a little group of Grade 1 and 2 pupils, the school has expanded in all directions catering for Grade 00 right through to Grade 7.

What an astonishing transformation it has been. We have faced various challenges but we are now well established with a good reputation.

I am proud of my legacy. I hope Froggy Pond School of Learning will continue to thrive and survive into the future as the Rattray frog has!

A magical metamorphosis of sorts happens here at Froggy Pond! The tiny tadpoles we witness emerging from the minute eggs deposited here in Grade 00, rapidly grow tails, quickly learn to swim, grow legs and became confident little froglets in Grade 0. They happily hop through the grades until we see them confidently leaping away into high school!
