ZIMCEO Award
The Rattray clan motto means “My wishes are beyond the stars, a promise”.
The crest is a flaming heart above a star and can be seen on the new trophy presented for the first time at the 2024 Froggy Pond School Sports Day.
It suggests aiming high and committing to excellence.
Mrs Pauline Enslin founded the school in 2005. Her father, Dr James Macfarlane Rattray created the first grassland map of Africa. His father, Dr George Rattray was the first headmaster of Selbourne College in East London South Africa. He discovered Southern Africa’s smallest frog whilst conducting scientific research in the Eastern Cape.
The James House motto Sincero corde means WITH HEART, a reminder to put our HEART into everything we do.
The George House motto Curiousus estote means BE CURIOUS. We need to remain curious, strive to be more interested than interesting, keep learning and keep growing throughout our lives.
The logos of the school houses represent the school’s spirit, values and identity and were proudly showcased at a recent flag-raising ceremony.
The logos reflect the unique character and achievements of the Rattray family and serve as symbols of pride and excellence, inspiring us to support one another and strive for greatness.
Mrs Enslin, the founder and headmistress of Froggy Pond School was proud to receive a ZimCeo Platinum People Development Award in August 2024. She has been recognised for her exceptional accomplishments and significant impact in the field of education.
A lifetime of dedication and commitment to making a positive impact in our community has not gone unnoticed.
The school community looks forward to celebrating her achievements during 2025
