Pauline Enslin

Founder

Mrs Enslin is the founder of Froggy Pond.

She was educated at Marandellas Public School, Zimbabwe.  She attended Eveline High School, Bulawayo where she was Head Girl in 1957.

She joined Teachers Training College at Heany, Bulawayo earning a Diploma in Infant Education (London University).

Mrs Enslin has vast experience teaching at various schools and has dedicated her life to education. Below is a list of the schools she has taught at:

Moray Primary School – Grades 1, 2, and 4, Reps Matopos – Grade 4, Marjorie Sanders Infant School and Coghlan School – Grade 1 and 2 for 10 years, Tennyson Primary School – Grade 1 for 2 years, Carmel Junior School – Grade 1 and 2 for 20 years.  Froggy Pond – Grade 1 Teacher and Headmistress since 2004.

Mrs Enslin represented Matabeleland in her youth, is passionate about swimming and is a qualified Swimming Instructor with a National Swimming Coaches Association Zimbabwe Certificate.

Lesley Ross

Lesley Ross

HEAD (From 2026)

Mrs Lesley Ross holds a Diploma in Secondary Education and a Bachelor or Education degree from the University of Zimbabwe. She has run a computer company and employment agency and has taught Mathematics and Computer Studies.

She has been Principal of Girls’ College, Bulawayo for the past 18 years, is training to be a CAMBRIDGE Inspector, is a former Board Member of ZIMSEC and has been an active member of ATS/CHISZ for many years. A former Lions Club of Bulawayo President, Mrs Ross is currently on the Boards of the Zimbabwe Academy of Music and King George VI Childrens’ Rehabilitation Centre. She firmly believes in building strong foundations of respect, being accountable and community responsibility.

We are excited to have her join the Froggy Pond staff. She will embrace our ideals of a holistic education and will help prepare our pupils for their futures, academically, physically, emotionally and socially.

Michelle Curry

Michelle Curry

Mrs Michelle Curry has a wealth of experience in education, having taught at all levels, from preschool up to A Level and beyond. She taught at Townsend, CBC, Arundel, and CompuServe. After completing a two-decade tenure at Hellenic Primary School, she brings incredible energy, enthusiasm and passion to Froggy Pond.

We welcome her extensive expertise and fresh ideas across various areas including our academic and curriculum development. We have no doubt she will make a significant impact as we embrace an exciting chapter for the school entering its twentieth year of existence in 2025.

Mrs Curry holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology, a Post Graduate Certificate in Education and a Diploma in Practical Stress Management and Life Coaching. She has studied the value of play in early childhood and values how play helps improve educational outcomes and emotional health. She has recently received certification from Play 360 on completing both parts of the Playmaker Playbook Challenge and will be implementing many exciting, fresh ideas for our playground.

Developing social, emotional and thinking skills in children will help form important building blocks for them to achieve their goals and cope with future challenges. Mrs. Curry will be introducing Life Skills education into our curriculum. We have already witnessed the principles of positive psychology come to life in our school and look forward to its ripple effect on our Froggy Pond families.

Minora Jassat

Minora Jassat

Mrs Jassat graduated from TTC, Teachers Training College with a Diploma in Education. After years of raising a family, she returned to full-time teaching when her youngest son went to university.

She enjoys her time at the school assisting with Academic Support and Curriculum Development. Mrs Jassat started out teaching Grade Two and progressed through various grades. She taught the very first Grade Seven class at Froggy Pond School and is still very much involved at the Senior level.

Teaching is her passion and she feels it is a privilege to be part of the education and development of young learners.

Her goal is to encourage children to always give of their best. She encourages children to develop a positive attitude towards school, learning, and life in general.

One of Mrs Jassat’s greatest joys is meeting a former student and hearing about their successes and achievements.

Angela Lunat

Angela Lunat

With decades of experience with children, Angela started a daycare with babies and toddlers (18 months – 3yrs).  She then worked for Montessori Zimbabwe where she furthered her career in teaching.

After that she opened a playgroup from home, “Tippy Toes,” which she managed for many years.

Angela holds a Diploma in Early Childhood Development.  Currently teaching Grade One, she is finding it to be a wonderful adventure working with older children.  She is passionate about making a difference and having an impact on a child’s life.

Angela says;  “Teaching is my calling and always has been.  I believe I am continuously expanding my knowledge of child development and am keeping up to date with the new evolving ways of different teaching methods and strategies.  I am an organized person who enjoys helping others and assisting people where I can.  I thoroughly enjoy creating memorable and engaging lessons as well as environments for children that are captivating, which in turn, makes learning fun!”

Helping each child progress in all areas of their development, be it with their language, academically, socially or physically is a challenge which she is honoured to accept daily.

She strives to create a community of learners in a positive, enjoyable atmosphere.

Rose Luwo

Rose Luwo

Rose is an educator, mentor and counsellor with a wealth of teaching experience in both government and private schools.  She graduated from The Teachers’ College, Bulawayo (now Hillside Teachers’ College) in 1982.  She also holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Counselling from the Zimbabwe Open University.  She joined the Froggy Pond Team in 2020.

Rose is passionate about nurturing learners to be confident, well-rounded and solidly grounded individuals.  Her holistic approach to learning encompasses spiritual, intellectual, social and physical development that equips learners with the skills and tools to realise their full potential.  It is her belief that learning and growth are ongoing processes.  The building blocks laid at one level strengthen the foundation for the next level hence the value of teamwork.

Apart from work, Rose enjoys reading, walking, handwork, board games, community work and the visual and performing arts.

Dhudhuzile Mandisodza

Dhudhuzile Mandisodza

Mrs Mandisozda is a passionate and dedicated primary school educator with more than three decades of experience inspiring and nurturing young minds in public and private schools. She graduated with a Certificate in Education from Mutare Teachers College in 1988.

She holds a bachelor of Education in Educational Administration, Planning and Policy studies from the University of Zimbabwe and a Masters degree in Educational Management from Midlands State University.

She is proficient in planning and developing appropriate teaching programmes to optimise learning whilst addressing learner needs effectively. She is a mature and adaptable team worker who is not afraid of challenges.

She is friendly and approachable when helping learners on an individual basis and creates a stimulating and inclusive classroom environment where all learners can thrive.

Cathrine Moyo

Cathrine Moyo

Cathrine Moyo is a dedicated and resourceful teacher with a solid commitment to the social and academic growth and development of every child.

Her passion for teaching and helping children to reach their full potential inspires her to create a classroom environment that is not only stimulating but inclusive of every child’s needs.

She uses a holistic approach to teaching, involving the children’s academic, artistic and physical education capabilities so as to develop the whole being of the child by the end of primary school. It is for this reason that Mrs Moyo loves and enjoys all school sporting activities as she believes sports play a vital role in their development.

She holds a Certificate in Education from Mutare Teachers College and a Bachelor of Education Degree, in Educational Administration, Planning and Policy Studies from the University of Zimbabwe.

With over 20 years of teaching experience in Zimbabwe and overseas, she has a proven track record of success in the classroom and has been highly regarded by school administrators and parents alike.

Mrs Moyo is grateful to be working with a dedicated and enthusiastic team of colleagues, who will ensure that the pupils of Froggy Pond receive a sound education.

Bawika Rossen

Bawika Rossen

Bawika Rossen has over 15 years of pre-school and Grade 2 teaching experience behind her. She teaches with a unique combination of educational and organisational skills.

She is passionate about ensuring that every child she comes into contact with has the best start in life and develops excitement for learning about the world around them. This approach fosters lifelong learning.

She loves helping children reach their potential and enjoys challenging them to be curious and take chances when learning.

She looks forward to working together with parents as partners in their children’s growth and development.
